1. About this statement

This Privacy Statement explains how AKVENT Technologies - AK Ventures Pte Ltd (UEN 202400618K), of 138 Market Street, #24-01, Singapore 048946 ("AKVENT", "we", "us"), collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data when you visit this website or contact us. We handle personal data in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 ("PDPA").

2. Personal data we collect

• Enquiry details. When you use "Let's talk" or "Start a conversation", we ask for your name, work email address, area of interest and a short message about your project.
• Correspondence. Information you give us when you email, call or meet us, including business contact details and the content of our discussions.
• Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log your IP address, browser type, device information and pages requested, for security and reliability.

You do not need an account to use this site, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data through it.

3. How we use personal data

We use personal data to:

• respond to your enquiry and discuss potential work with you;
• evaluate, propose, deliver and administer services;
• operate, secure and improve this website;
• meet our legal, regulatory and record-keeping obligations.

We rely on your consent, or on the exceptions to consent permitted by the PDPA (for example, where you voluntarily provide business contact information for a business purpose). You may withdraw consent at any time as described in section 9.

4. Disclosure

We do not sell personal data. We may share it only with service providers that help us operate (such as website hosting and email providers) under confidentiality obligations, with professional advisers, or where required by law, regulation or a competent authority.

This site does not currently set marketing or analytics cookies. If we add analytics or similar tools, we will update this statement first and, where required, ask for your consent to non-essential cookies.

6. Transfers outside Singapore

Our hosting and email providers may store or process data outside Singapore. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure the recipient protects personal data to a standard comparable to the PDPA.

7. Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal and business record-keeping requirements. After that, we delete or anonymise it.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights and choices

You may ask to access or correct the personal data we hold about you, or withdraw your consent to our collection, use or disclosure of it. Withdrawing consent may affect our ability to respond to your enquiry. We will respond to requests within a reasonable time and in line with the PDPA.

10. Children

This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
